Massage can be used to treat a range of different injuries and disorders including; headaches, joint pain, insomnia and arthritis. Whether combined as one of our treatment programs or used alone, massages can be hugely beneficial to a wide range of patients.


Sports massage is primarily used to treat athletes both before and after sporting events. Moreover, Sports massage can help prevent injury, speed up recovery and promote peak performance. Sports massage isn’t just for athletes if you have an existing injury, chronic pain or restricted movement, a sports massage may be recommend for you also.

There are four types of sports massages:

  • Before event sports massage – a short, stimulating massage 15 – 45 minutes before the event. It is directed toward the parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.
  • After an event sport massages – administered within an one or two hours of your event, to normalize the body’s tissues.
  • Restorative sport massages – administered during training, allowing you to train harder with less risk of injury.
  • Rehabilitative sport massages – these are aimed at reducing pain from to injury and returning the body to optimum health.


Remedial massage takes a holistic approach and tends to be used to treat less serious injures. Especially, Remedial massage looks at the whole body and not just the effected area allowing us to diagnose the cause of a problem as well as treat its symptoms.

  • Deep tissue massage.
  • Trigger point therapy.
  • Mobilisations.
  • Muscle energy technique.
  • Myofascial release.
  • Cyriax friction.
  • Advanced stretching.
